Why should we use CALF ELECTRO POWER?
1. What is CALF ELECTRO POWER?
CALF ELECTRO POWER is two specifically formulated, triple action and high energy electrolytes for calves. These electrolytes have been designed to:
• Support rehydration
• Support the immune system
• Support gut recovery
2. What are the feeding instructions of CALF ELECTRO POWER?
CALF ELECTRO POWER PASTE:
Feed 60ml to the back of the tongue immediately upon the first sign of scour.
This amount should be fed twice daily for 3 days. Ensure fresh water is available at all times.
CALF ELECTRO POWER POWDER:
Add 1 sachet (80g) to 2 litres of water and mix thoroughly. This amount should be fed
twice daily for 3 days. Where diarrhoea is mild, CALF ELECTRO POWER powder can be mixed
with milk or milk replacer or can be mixed with water and given to a suckler calf. Ensure fresh
water is available at all times.
Do not feed CALF ELECTRO POWER paste or powder if the calf is recumbent or depressed. Seek
veterinary advice immediately.
3. What does CALF ELECTRO POWER contain?
CALF ELECTRO POWER is formulated from a concentration of:
• Sodium Chloride
• Potassium Chloride
• Mono Potassium Phosphate
• Glucose
• Threonine
• Sodium Citrate
4. When should CALF ELECTRO POWER be used?
CALF ELECTRO POWER paste and powder are dietic feedingstuffs to support the stabilisation of
water and electrolyte balance in calves.
• To be used in case of risk of, during periods of, or recovery from digestive disturbance (diarrhoea).
• Having CALF ELECTRO POWER in a paste is excellent for older suckler calves, which helps with
administration of electrolytes.
• During times of stress such as transport, vaccinations, dehorning, extreme inclement weather
changes, there is increased risk of nutritional scour. You can feed CALF ELECTRO POWER powder
as a preventative during these periods. Consult your veterinary surgeon before use.
