Why should we use RUMEN SUPPORT?
1. What is RUMEN SUPPORT?
RUMEN SUPPORT is a nutritional supplement specifically developed and formulated to:
• Stimulate microbial activity in the rumen
• Stimulate metabolism and appetite
• Stabilise rumen pH
• Boost recovery
2. What are the feeding instructions of RUMEN SUPPORT?
• Post-calving: Feed 1 sachet (100g) of RUMEN SUPPORT immediately after calving to support
recovery and appetite and to reduce the risk of metabolic disease.
• After surgery: (Dairy Cows and Large Cattle 500kg+) Feed 2 sachets (200g) of RUMEN SUPPORT
twice daily for two days, followed by 1 sachet (100g) twice daily for two days.
• Loss of appetite: Feed 1 sachet (100g) twice daily for the first day, followed by 1 sachet (100g)
daily until appetite recovers.
• Post veterinary treatment: (example antibiotic or anti-inflammatory) Feed 1 sachet (100g) twice
daily for the first day followed by 1 sachet (100g) daily until appetite recovers.
• Growing cattle: Use as directed above but use:
• ¼ sachet per 100kg bodyweight where 1 sachet are indicated
• ½ sachet per 100kg bodyweight were 2 sachets are indicated
3. What does RUMEN SUPPORT contain?
RUMEN SUPPORT is formulated from a high
concentration of:
• Yeast
• Rumen protected Methionine
• Vitamins (A, B, D3, E)
• Trace elements
4. When should RUMEN SUPPORT be used?
To support appetite and recovery in calves, replacements or beef animals after illness or veterinary
treatment
• To support appetite in cows receiving veterinary treatment (example cows on antibiotics,
anti-inflammatory’s or cows post-surgery (caesarean section or displaced abomasum)
• To support appetite in cows suffering transition acidosis
• To support cows with Mastitis or Metritis
• Cows suffering from heat stress
• To high risk cows: fat cows, older cows
• As soon as possible after calving to stimulate appetite and reduce the risk of ketosis
Feeding Instructions:
Cows:
Feed 1 sachet mixed in feed twice daily for 4 days. If appetite is reduced,
feed 2 sachets twice daily for two days.
Young Cattle:
Feed as above giving half quantities in each case.
Adult Sheep and Goats:
Feed ½ sachet twice daily for a week
Storage Conditions:
For animal use only. Keep out of reach of children. Do not exceed recommended amount.
Consult your veterinary surgeon before use. Keep out of sunlight.
Store in a dry place below 25ºC. Do not freeze
